Last Wednesday, we held our 2nd Annual The People’s Party and it was a tremendous success! Community gathered to celebrate the work of COPA in the last year and energize ourselves for the coming fight ahead. Delicious local food trucks and paletas made the evening a hit, along with talented performances.
COPA also awarded The People’s Award to The Meyer Law Firm. Their incredible work goes beyond just running a business; it is a business that partners with community, not for profit, but to make real change. They use their expertise to make positive changes, not just with their cases, but at a community level through policy and advocacy. For always being there for our community and joining us in the fight for immigrant rights – Thank you!

El miércoles pasado, tuvimos nuestro segundo anual Fiesta del Pueblo y fue un gran éxito! La comunidad se reunió para celebrar el trabajo de COPA y darnos fuerza para la lucha que viene. Camiones de comida locales y paletas hicieron la noche exitosa, también con los talentosos artistas.
COPA dio el Premio del Pueblo a la Oficina de Abogados de Meyer. Su trabajo increíble ha ido más allá de sólo dirigir un negocio; es un negocio que se asocia con la comunidad, sin ánimos de lucro, pero para hacer un cambio real. Utilizan su experiencia para hacer cambios positivos, no sólo con sus casos, sino a nivel comunitario a través de la política y la abogacía. Por estar siempre allí para nuestra comunidad y unirse a nosotros en la lucha por los derechos de los inmigrantes – ¡Gracias!
